Calley Means, RFK Jr. adviser, resigns from Trump administration

Calley Means, a senior adviser to Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., resigned from the Trump administration on Thursday. The Hill, The New York Times, NBC News and PBS NewsHour all reported it.

Means was a prominent advocate for the "Make America Healthy Again" movement, known as MAHA. The Hill notes he left less than two weeks before the midterm elections.

PBS NewsHour says the resignation came amid growing discontent in the MAHA movement over a lack of progress. The Hill reports he was frustrated by delays in the MAHA food agenda. The Times says he pushed food reforms but grew frustrated with stalled progress on the agenda. The Hill describes the reason as reported, not confirmed.

The Times also reports that Means helped bring Kennedy and President Trump together. The portion of the NBC News report provided gives no reason for his departure.
