Comedy Central announced Monday that Jon Stewart will continue hosting "The Daily Show" through December 2028, The Hill reports. The extension covers the 2028 presidential election.

Stewart, 63, hosts the show once a week, on Mondays. He is also its executive producer, according to The Hill. A rotating group of comics and TV personalities host the other nights.

The New York Times reports that ratings have surged since Stewart returned to the Monday-night slot more than two years ago.
