No Kings events held nationwide, urging people to vote before the midterms
Demonstrators gathered at events across the country on Saturday to encourage early voting ahead of the midterm elections.
Thousands of people turned out at No Kings events across the country on Saturday, Al Jazeera reports. Organizers used the gatherings to push voters to cast ballots early in the midterm elections.
PBS NewsHour reports that hundreds of events were planned. It says they were billed as nonpartisan.
Both outlets say the events build on nearly two years of No Kings marches and demonstrations. PBS NewsHour describes the participants as people upset with President Trump's presidency.
