Alaska Senate ballot lists two Dan Sullivans, and voters say it's clear

Alaska's Senate ballot has two candidates named Dan Sullivan, and voters interviewed by CBS News and Fox News say they can tell them apart.

Posted

Alaska's Senate ballot this year lists two candidates named Dan Sullivan. CBS News reports that voters it spoke to say the ballot makes clear which is which. One voter told the network, "The ballot is very clear as to who's who."

Fox News reports on a voter who had considered backing former Rep. Mary Peltola. He said he was "disgusted" by a reported "decoy Dan" plot and switched to incumbent Republican Sen. Dan S. Sullivan.

The reports are short. Neither says who the second Dan Sullivan is, why he is on the ballot, or what the alleged plot involves. Fox News describes the plot only as reported.
